OffShore
Wind Hub

Gateway New London’s proximity to offshore wind projects in the northeast and its port access without vertical obstructions are unique attributes that create an optimal location for offshore wind turbine assembly.

OffShore Wind Development

Gateway New London was chosen as the Terminal Operator for the New London State Pier under a 20-year concession agreement with the Connecticut Port Authority, beginning May 2019. Operated by Gateway New London, State Pier will be redeveloped into a new terminal dedicated to offshore wind. The Connecticut Port Authority is responsible for oversight and execution of the development, tentatively scheduled to begin in early 2020 and expected to be finished by Spring 2022.
